What are you looking to achieve at IMHX this year?
We’re looking forward to building meaningful connections at IMHX, both new and familiar. It’s a valuable opportunity to meet face-to-face with the people who matter most, the influential decision-makers seeking the products and services that drive their businesses forward. There’s real power in personal conversations, and we’re ready to make them count.
What sets your company apart as a supplier in your sector?
As a long-term partner, we help future-proof warehouses by introducing a new era of robotic, data-driven and flexible automated solutions that deliver exceptional customer value. Our global presence and local service means we are close to our customers no matter where they are located.
What business sectors are your customers in?
Over the years, we have developed a specialised knowledge in a range of sectors and have over 2,500 implemented projects worldwide. The retail and e-commerce sectors remain high on the agenda, but the food & beverage and e-grocery industries make up a significant portion of our customer-base too. While there are industries that currently demand more attention than others, we take pride in the fact that our solution portfolio has something ideal for most applications.
What innovative changes or strategies has your business adopted since the last IMHX in 2022?
Since IMHX 2022, we have significantly advanced our AI capabilities, integrating machine learning into warehouse management and robotics systems. These enhancements enable predictive analytics for inventory management, real-time decision-making, and adaptive routing for mobile robots. All to deliver greater efficiency and responsiveness in dynamic warehouse environments.
We have also expanded our SynQ software platform with new modules for advanced analytics, digital twin simulation, and integration with ERP and WMS systems. This empowers customers with greater visibility, control, and optimisation across their operations.
What major customer contract wins have you made recently?
This year we have seen our cold store solution for Magnavale go-live into operation successfully. Providing over 100,000 pallet storage locations at frozen temperatures with receipt, storage and despatch marshalling all fully automated with high-speed capability.
We also continue our journey with Greggs, providing them with highly automated solutions to support their growth within the UK across all temperature regimes. Food and beverage is always a strong market for Swisslog but this year we have seen a lot of success within fashion and apparel, especially with the AutoStore technology.
What do you think are the most important innovations currently transforming the warehouse and logistics industry?
The AutoStore system is a prime example of the transformative power of Swisslog’s expertise. Innovative solution designs by Swisslog extend the AutoStore Multi-Temperature Solution (MTS) to combine multiple temperature zones with the AutoStore system, enabling the storage of ambient, cold / fresh, and frozen goods within one solution.
By implementing the AutoStore Multi-Temperature Solution, we were able to help La Réserve des Saveurs to completely rethink its operations. The company optimised its storage capacity, reduced order delivery times, and significantly lowered its carbon footprint.
What is your company doing to actively work towards a more sustainable business model?
Swisslog is proud to have made sustainability a core pillar of our innovation strategy. Our portfolio of data-driven, flexible and robotic material handling solutions enables increased productivity, shorter order cycle times and faster response to change. Those same qualities, supported by an engineering focus on sustainability, enable a range of environmental benefits. For example, our Vectura crane uses a unique low-weight mast design and regenerative power and braking modules to deliver industry-leading efficiency while retaining outstanding performance and reliability.
What strategy should the warehouse and logistics sectors take to drive and optimise efficiencies?
Efficiency today demands more than just automation; it needs to be intelligence-backed too. The warehouse and logistics sectors must adopt smart, data-driven technologies that adapt in real time, integrate seamlessly, and scale with the business.
At Swisslog, we’re helping customers turn complex operations into efficient solutions that optimise space, time, and energy. Our future ready systems have the ability to deliver this exceptional customer value from day one.
How is the labour shortage in the warehouse and logistics sectors impacting your business?
The labour shortage continues to be a major challenge across the logistics sector, but it’s also accelerating the shift toward intelligent automation. For Swisslog, it’s an opportunity to help businesses do more with the teams they have. Our solutions are designed to take on repetitive, labour-intensive tasks, freeing up staff for higher-value roles and improving overall productivity. Similarly, our cold storage solutions keep workers out of sub-zero temperatures and in a more ergonomic working environment. It’s less about replacing people and more about empowering them with smarter systems that make work more efficient, comfortable, and enjoyable.
And finally, what key message are you hoping to share with attendees who visit your stand?
At Swisslog, automation is only part of the value we bring. What truly drives project success is the strength of our partnerships. Our teams work shoulder to shoulder with customers, combining deep intralogistics expertise with a collaborative mindset. This close engagement ensures our solutions are not only technically advanced but also aligned with long-term operational goals.
