Switching to Armour Wrap by Springpack can lead to significant savings in wrap usage, up to 54%, making it a smart choice for businesses aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Armour Wrap is a high-performance nano-machine film designed to offer superior strength and performance compared to conventional wrapping solutions. Armour Wrap utilises advanced nano technology to enhance the strength and durability of the film, meaning it can securely hold loads with fewer layers, reducing the amount of film needed per wrap.
The supply of a new shrink-wrapping line doubled the packing capacity for one of the largest corrugate board manufacturing plants in the UK, freeing up a bottleneck in their production facility. The company was so impressed that the same state of the art shrink wrapping machinery was rolled out across all 5 of their UK manufacturing sites. Having discussed their requirements, including necessary throughput, with the Yorkshire Packaging Systems team, a Mimi Uniblock 1123 sleeve wrapper, with double chamber shrink tunnel, was recommended and supplied by YPS.
A new compact and lightweight inflatable packaging system has been launched by SEE to provide medium-throughput businesses with on-demand cushioning and wrapping that contains a minimum of 30% recycled content. The Bubble Wrap® Inflator has been specifically designed for smaller operations, where workspace is at premium. At the press of a button, the system can produce BUBBLE WRAP® brand bubble materials on-demand at speeds of up to 24 metres per minute, reducing the need to dedicate valuable space to storing protective packaging materials.
As part of its annual charitable giving campaign, Kite Packaging, an employee share-owned business, recently made substantial donations to charities across the UK. Each year, the company’s thirteen divisions select a charity to support. This year, Kite’s collective desire to give back resulted in a generous donation of £30,000, up from £26,000 in 2023.
It’s great to see the innovation in packaging, enhancing efficiency and reducing production costs.
