Welcome to the March 15th issue of Warehouse & Logistics News. Across the warehousing and logistics sector, safety is increasingly being viewed not just as a legal requirement, but as a strategic opportunity to protect employees and improve performance. Loading bays, where vehicles, forklifts and personnel converge, are central to this shift. Salvo’s forthcoming product launches are designed in collaboration with customers facing changing demands and aimed at enhancing safety without impeding productivity.

B&B Attachments, a leading supplier of forklift truck attachments and the exclusive UK distributor for KAUP, has launched the KAUP Smart Load Control (SLC) 2.0 to the UK materials handling market. The BCMPA – the Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics – believes that this year’s Contract Pack & Fulfilment Show firmly underlined the strength of outsourcing specialists and the vital role they play in the packaging supply chain. The exhibition, co-located with Packaging Innovations & Empack, also highlighted the extraordinary entrepreneurial talent in the industry with start-ups looking for third parties to take their business to the next level.

The Big Logistics Diversity Challenge 2026 (#BLDC2026) promises its most exciting edition yet, headlined by the debut of five all-new challenges that will test teamwork, strategy, and creativity like never before. Hörmann UK has expanded its Construction Project range with the addition of insulated hinged and sliding doors designed specifically for cold rooms and freezer applications. Engineered for temperature-controlled environments, the doors are suitable for cold rooms operating at temperatures down to 0°C and freezers reaching –28°C. They are ideally suited to cold storage facilities, distribution hubs, supermarkets and food processing operations where thermal performance and reliability are critical, according to our doors & curtains feature.

Früchte Jork GmbH from Baden-Württemberg, Germany – a family-run fresh food wholesaler – has reached an important milestone: its new, fully automated deep-freeze warehouse is in operation. The warehouse uses the Leuze FBPS 607i bar code positioning system, which increases efficiency and reduces costs in automated warehouse operations. The first safe bar code positioning system with redundant SSI interface and integrated heating enables use even at temperatures as low as -30°C, our warehouse I.T. feature reports.
