The 4elements Group is continuing its international expansion with WEMALO and has officially launched operations in Kenya. The company introduces the first cloud-based Warehouse Management System (Cloud-WMS) designed for efficient multi-client management, tailored to the needs of modern logistics providers and fulfilment companies. The goal is to advance the logistics industry in East Africa with digital, decentralised, and scalable solutions.

“My visits and conversations in Nairobi have shown that logistics in Africa is ready for the next step. Together with local partners and a small team, we are building a flexible fulfilment network from our newly opened Nairobi office – connecting online shops and logistics providers across East Africa more efficiently,” says Stefan Franke, CEO of the 4elements Group.

“With WEMALO, small and medium-sized warehouse providers can get started immediately, without heavy investments, long project phases, or time-consuming training.”

The move into Kenya marks WEMALO’s first significant step into the African market. The decision is strategic: Kenya is one of the continent’s most dynamic logistics markets. The e-commerce sector is growing rapidly, with annual growth rates of 15–20% and a projected increase in market volume from USD 2.3 billion in 2023 to USD 3.8 billion by 2028. Existing software solutions often fail to meet the region’s needs, as they are either too rigid or too expensive, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses. As a result, most warehouses in East Africa still rely on manual processes and spreadsheets, which lead to errors, delivery delays, and a lack of transparency for clients. WEMALO closes this gap with a ready-to-use cloud solution that can be adapted to local requirements through its modular structure.

Until now, WEMALO’s main focus has been on Germany, where the solution is already in use by many medium-sized logistics providers. Internationally, the software is also deployed – for example, by H&M in Australia. Developed in Hamburg and operated entirely in Germany, WEMALO demonstrates how a German company can set global impulses for the digitalisation of logistics.
