Maarten Windey, Team Manager Sales Development UK & Ireland at TVH spoke to Warehouse & Logistics News.
What are your best-known products and services?
TVH is widely recognised for its comprehensive range of parts and accessories for off-road machinery — covering material handling, industrial, construction and agricultural equipment. What sets us apart is the combination of our extensive stock, expert support and a choice between original OEM parts and high-quality alternatives. With in-house brands such as TotalSource, CAM attachments, Energic Plus and Glassinter, we meet diverse customer needs while ensuring quality and availability. Beyond parts, we offer repair, remanufacturing and training services that help customers extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
How do you think your industry sector is performing at the moment?
The market for parts and accessories in the material handling and off-road machinery sector remains resilient, with steady demand. Customers continue to focus on maximising uptime, lowering total cost of ownership. At the same time, digitalisation and sustainability are reshaping expectations. Customers increasingly want fast, data-driven solutions and suppliers who support responsible practices – two areas where we continue to invest heavily.
How many markets are you in and what is your biggest market?
TVH serves over 82,000 active customers in more than 170 countries. Our strongest presence is in the material handling sector, where we’ve built deep expertise over five decades. We’re also seeing steady growth in construction, small earthmoving, agricultural and industrial machinery. Our global logistics network — including our UK warehouse in Kidderminster — ensures customers receive fast, reliable service wherever they operate.
What are your most recent product innovations?
A key milestone has been TVH UK becoming a Certified Excellence Distributor for Bosch Rexroth, reinforcing our expertise in mobile hydraulics and commitment to environmentally responsible solutions. We’ve also strengthened our CAM attachments range with innovative products such as the PK-TS fork positioner, designed for higher precision and easier maintenance. Through our Energic Plus brand, we continue to expand in power electronics with regenerator technology that extends battery lifetime.
Can you tell us about any recent customer projects and how you helped the customer meet their challenges?
We constantly help customers reduce downtime through tailored parts solutions, expert advice and fast delivery. Through TVH Exchange, customers integrate their own systems with ours for real-time access to parts data, pricing, stock availability and order tracking – streamlining procurement and improving accuracy. Combined with our extensive inventory, local expertise and dedicated service teams, it’s another way we deliver lasting value every day.
What is your strategy for growth and success in 2026?
Our strategy centres on three pillars: customer proximity, digital excellence and sustainability. We want to make it as easy as possible for customers to find and receive the parts they need, wherever they are. Digital tools like our 24/7 online platform enable customers to place orders, check stock, and track deliveries in real time. We’re expanding remanufacturing operations, which already rebuild more than 100,000 parts annually, strengthening our circular model. Growth will continue to come from our ability to combine speed, quality and responsible business practices.
Can you tell us about any areas, such as in AI, where you’re currently making technical advances?
At TVH, we see artificial intelligence as one of several emerging technologies with the potential to improve logistics and data management. We’re continuously exploring how such tools might support forecasting, process optimisation and customer service — but always with a realistic view of their capabilities.
Within our telematics division, GemOne, intelligent systems already provide real-time insights into machine performance and usage, helping customers make data-based decisions about fleet management and maintenance planning. We embrace the opportunities that AI offers while staying alert to its limitations and ensuring any adoption aligns with our values of reliability, safety and transparency.
Can you foresee autonomous mobile robots and goods-to-person systems becoming more mainstream to improve efficiency and reduce manual labour?
Automation is already shaping warehouse environments. At TVH, we see it as a way to support our people, not replace them. Smart tools and automated systems help improve accuracy, speed and safety in logistics – especially in achieving next-day delivery for our customers.
We constantly explore technologies that enhance efficiency while keeping the human touch at the heart of our operations.
Will advanced connectivity become more crucial for data sharing and communication between warehousing tasks and systems?
Advanced connectivity is the backbone of modern logistics. At TVH, it means linking systems and data to create real-time visibility across operations — from our warehouses to our online shop and customer integrations such as TVH Exchange. This seamless communication ensures accurate order processing, faster delivery and clear insight into stock and shipments.
Is the industry placing a greater emphasis on sustainability?
Yes, and it’s an area where TVH places a strong focus. We operate one of the world’s largest remanufacturing hubs, employing more than 200 technicians and engineers dedicated to extending product lifespan. We also prioritise renewable energy and responsible waste management and our efforts have earned recognition from organisations such as EcoVadis and UNITAR.
Are robust cybersecurity measures becoming a greater priority?
Definitely. With over 90% of orders now placed through our e-commerce platform, cybersecurity is integral to maintaining customer trust. We’ve further strengthened our systems through advanced data security measures, regular audits and continuous staff training to maintain compliance with the highest standards. Protecting customer and company data is an ongoing commitment that evolves alongside our digital growth.
Are you placing greater emphasis on employee wellness such as investing in ergonomic environments and mental health support?
Our people are central to TVH’s success. Initiatives such as the global Safety Bee programme promote shared responsibility for a safe working environment, while Nudge encourages healthy, active and balanced lifestyles.
We’re proud to have an employee engagement score of 82%, which reflects the strong culture of inclusion and care we’ve built.
How are digitalisation and e-commerce transforming your customer experience?
Digitalisation has transformed how we serve customers. Through our 24/7 online platform, users can search by part number, model or serial number and view real-time availability, specifications and pricing. Our TVH Exchange integration service allows customers to connect their own systems directly to ours, enabling a fully automated and transparent procurement process. It’s a prime example of how we combine technology with expert support to make the customer experience faster, simpler and more connected.
How do your global logistics and UK warehouse operations ensure fast and reliable delivery?
Operational excellence is central to our promise of keeping customers going. From our UK site in Kidderminster, we process over 3,200 pick lines per day and offer next-day delivery on most orders. Globally, our logistics teams handle tens of thousands of orders daily from 90 branches. We continuously invest in warehouse technology, automation and digital integration to ensure accuracy, speed and traceability across every shipment.
How does TVH share its technical expertise with customers?
Training and technical expertise are a big part of how we help customers. Through TVH University, we offer courses in hydraulics, electronics, diagnostics, safety and maintenance — combining theory with practical insights to help technicians solve problems quickly and safely.
Over 2,000 employees and customers joined tailored training in 2024, strengthening partnerships and helping businesses stay ahead.
What sets your company apart from others?
Our combination of scale, service and expertise. We have the global infrastructure to deliver anywhere, yet remain close to customers through local teams and personal support.
With more than 55 years of experience and a deep focus on quality, we’re a dependable partner that keeps businesses going — every day.
How would you sum up your company in three words?
Keeps you going.
