It has been yet another great year for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK (CILT(UK)) as we continue to support professionals and organisational partners across the logistics, transport and supply chain sectors.

Interim CEO at CILT(UK)
From major events to thought leadership, new partnerships and professional development opportunities, CILT(UK) has continued to promote collaboration and innovation across our diverse community.
Events and Sector Trends
Throughout 2025, the Institute has hosted a series of national and regional events spanning the full breadth of our network. Notably, our annual conference brought together industry leaders to explore major themes from AI and automation to sustainability, decarbonisation and cyber security. All topics influencing our profession today. Additionally, sessions on defence logistics and future skills highlighted how our sector continues to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world. These discussions not only inspire collaboration but also help shape the strategic direction of our industry for the year ahead.
Partnerships and Membership
As the chartered body representing professionals in the movement of goods, people, and associated supply chain networks, we have been delighted to welcome both new company partnerships and individual members to our community this year. Our community represents a shared commitment to professional excellence, continuous learning and sustainable innovation. We’re also thrilled to be launching our brand-new website in January, designed to give members easier access to resources, insights and opportunities. This marks another step in ensuring we remain a leading partner for professionals shaping the industry’s future.
Professional Development and Learning
As an Awarding Organisation, CILT(UK) has issued more than 2,500 professional credentials this year, marking another strong period of achievement. We’ve welcomed several new learning partners, reflecting the rising demand for high-quality, industry-recognised qualifications.
Our CILT(UK) Learning Centre was also proud to reintroduce its first in-person Transport Manager CPC courses since COVID-19, enabling professionals to learn, connect and develop practical skills that make a real impact. This reinforces our dedication to lifelong learning and career growth across the sector.
The Voice of the Institute
Through thought leadership, expert commentary and policy engagement, CILT(UK) has continued to influence key conversations shaping transport and logistics. Our experts have provided insights on issues such as fuel duty changes, bus franchising, Heathrow expansion, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and the forthcoming British Railways Bill. By remaining a trusted and respected voice, we help ensure the profession is heard where it matters most.
As we look ahead to 2026, CILT(UK) remains committed to empowering professionals through collaboration, learning and leadership driving a smarter, more sustainable and connected future for all.
