I’ve been fortunate to work with a number of inspiring MDs and CEOs throughout my career, and they’ve each taught me something valuable along the way.

I’d say something dependable like a safety bollard. They aren’t always the flashiest item in a warehouse, but they’ll always be there when you need them.

It’s not always been the kindest pastime to my patience, but golf is something that I’ve always loved, and I’ll probably spend the rest of my life trying to master it.

Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?

Other than golf, I’m a big fan of F1 and football. The recent success of McLaren has certainly helped to balance out some of the challenging moments that come with being a Manchester United fan right now!

I can’t say for sure, but there would be signs…

What’s your dream holiday?

Anywhere in Italy usually works well for me, but in terms of trying somewhere new I’d love to take a good amount of time exploring Iceland and Japan.

What’s your favourite music album?

My music taste has definitely broadened over time, but an album that I can happily listen to over and over again is Songs for the Deaf, by Queens of the Stone Age.

What’s your favourite movie or TV series?

I’m currently part way through watching The Sopranos for the second time, and I’m sure it won’t be the last time either!

What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry?

Definitely to go for it! There’s a lot to be learned and a lot of great people working in this sector.
