Mosca GmbH has been honoured with the Business Innovator Award 2025. With this award, the German Innovation Institute (diind) recognises the outstanding innovative capabilities of the family-owned company.

Mosca impressed the jury with its holistic approach to innovation, which combines internal efficiency, customer-orientated service, and digital transparency in the logistics chain. The specialist for holistic end-of-line systems was recognised for its proprietary AI solution for production optimisation, the innovative services offered by its TechCenter, and its Digital Load Pass, which addresses the upcoming regulation of the “Digital Product Pass”.
Mosca’s multi-award-winning AI solution is revolutionising order processing in production. Using smart sequencing, artificial intelligence dynamically optimises the sequence of numerous production orders by evaluating critical factors such as set-up time, delays, and priority. The result: the set-up times for around 800 prioritised production orders per day are reduced by 20 percent.
“Our AI solution is a decisive lever on the path to flexible, data-driven production,” Amélie Münch, Innovation and Technology Management associate at Mosca GmbH, explains. “Receiving the Business Innovator Award confirms that we are setting the right priorities.”
The innovative service approach of the Mosca TechCenter at the company’s headquarters in Waldbrunn was also recognised by the jury. Here, customers can test their transport safety concepts under realistic conditions on special test benches (vibrations, inclines, braking manoeuvres) and optimise them based on the data. “The TechCenter enables us to work with customers to identify untapped potential,” Amélie Münch says.
Another award-winning innovation is the Digital Load Pass, a label with a QR code that is attached directly to the loading unit. It enables relevant data to be retrieved quickly and easily via a web-based page without the need for a special app.
The Load Pass increases safety and transparency in the logistics chain. It stores detailed information about the packaging material and provides a direct link to the test report, if the loading unit has been tested in the TechCenter beforehand. This is particularly relevant for authorities, as it provides proof of regulatory compliance in the event of damage. In the future, the CO? footprint of the respective loading unit will also be integrated, which offers added value for companies’ sustainability reporting.
Mosca GmbH’s innovative strength is deeply rooted in the company’s history since its beginnings. The consistent use of automation and AI is now creating new opportunities for Mosca to make processes more efficient and resource-friendly. The company sees the Business Innovator Award as encouragement to consistently push the development of further innovative projects, such as the automated generation of quotations. “Innovation and a focus on the needs of our customers are and will remain central components of our corporate strategy,” Amélie Münch emphasises.
