Despite challenging economic conditions, the intralogistics specialist TGW Logistics brought the 2024/2025 business year to a record-breaking close. At 1.07 billion euros, the revenue of the technology company, which plans and realises highly automated logistics centres for its international customers and supports them during live operation, slightly exceeded the previous year’s all-time high. The earnings before interest and taxes rose to 49.3 million euros, and the number of employees grew to 4,645.

Vanderlande has been awarded a new contract to provide DHL Express Germany with an automation solution for their new facility in Cologne which features a new type of sorter called SPOX. The agreement was signed at PARCEL+POST Expo 2025 in Amsterdam to mark the first time this innovative sorter has been installed at a DHL facility.

A total of 33 freight forwarding companies have been shortlisted as finalists for the nine service categories of this year’s British International Freight Association’s Freight Service Awards, with seven of them making the finalist shortlists in more than one category. The finalists in each category will now go forward to the final round of judging with winners due to be announced at the BIFA Freight Service Awards Ceremony on Thursday 15th January 2026.
