What are you looking to achieve at IMHX this year?
We aim to connect with existing customers and meet new prospects. IMHX is also an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and highlight TGW’s solutions in warehouse automation.
Will you be launching any new products or services at the show?
We are focusing on recent product innovations:
LivePick
An easily scalable and quickly implemented order-fulfilment system, combining fixed storage with mobile robots for picking and packing. The perfect solution for low- to mid-performance order processing, designed for ultimate flexibility—ideal for omnichannel operations.
SmartPocket
The advantages of AMR technology brought to pocket sorters! A must-have single-unit pocket sorter system for e-commerce fulfilment centres, based on self-driven pockets and reduced sortation steps, ensuring faster processing times and effortless scalability.
TGW One-Touch Receiving
From eight manual touches to just one: with One-Touch Receiving, the entire goods-receipt process is fully automated—from receiving to carton storage—maximising efficiency and reducing labour requirements.
What sets your company apart as a supplier in your sector?
What sets TGW apart is our ability to deliver highly scalable and flexible automation solutions that evolve alongside our clients’ businesses. We take a holistic approach to logistics, combining cutting-edge technology with deep expertise and customised services. Our commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction is the driving force behind our competitive advantage—and, of course, our unique position as a foundation-owned company.
What business sectors are your customers in?
Our clients represent a wide range of industries, including Fashion, Grocery, Industrial & Consumer Goods, and Healthcare. Each sector faces its own unique intralogistics challenges, and we provide solutions tailored to meet their specific needs.
Which industry sectors are growing the quickest for your business?
Industrial & Consumer Goods, Grocery, and Fashion are showing the strongest growth for TGW, particularly in omnichannel and e-commerce. This is driven by rising online demand, increasing expectations for same-day delivery, and labour shortages in fulfilment operations.
What innovative changes or strategies has your business adopted since the last IMHX in 2022?
Our partnership with SafeLog on mobile robots is off to a strong start, with several units already deployed in major projects. Sharing similar cultural values, TGW and SafeLog are jointly developing a diverse range of applications—from compact tote-based AMRs to large pallet-carrying robots—bringing new levels of flexibility and efficiency to intralogistics.
At the same time, our TGW SmartPocket, a groundbreaking pocket sorter, is progressing through beta development with selected partners. We have hosted several Innovation Days to showcase this technology to our clients, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback. Even more exciting, these discussions often reveal fresh ideas for new applications, helping us evolve the SmartPocket beyond its original scope.
We have also launched a new generation of shuttles, delivering a 10% increase in overall system performance. Combining exceptional throughput with reliability, robust design, and outstanding energy efficiency, these shuttles significantly reduce the need for manual intervention—by as much as 90%. Sustainability is at the core of the design: replacing plastic components with wood saves up to 25 tonnes of plastic per system each year.
What major customer contract wins have you made recently?
Recent highlights include large-scale automation projects for leading European Grocery and I&C retailers, a major grocery fulfilment centre in the UK and Scandinavia and two medial healthcare projects in Benelux and Scandinavia.
How is your company making the workplace a safer environment for your employees?
Safety isn’t just a standard at TGW Northern Europe — it’s our promise. We design ergonomically, train thoroughly, and work to the highest safety standards so that every colleague, contractor, and visitor goes home safe, every day.
What do you think are the most important innovations currently transforming the warehouse and logistics industry?
Logistics is no longer just about moving goods—it’s about moving smarter. As consumer demands evolve and market volatility increases, organisations face mounting pressure to optimise efficiency while maintaining agility. Warehouse automation, at its heart, is a critical capability evolving from simple mechanisation to intelligent, responsive systems.
A truly “smart” supply chain isn’t merely automated—it’s an interconnected ecosystem where artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced robotics work harmoniously. These technologies create a synergistic environment where warehouse logistics adapt in real time to changing conditions, predict disruptions before they occur, and continuously enhance performance.
And finally, what key message are you hoping to share with attendees who visit your stand?
We’re not here to sell systems – we’re here to solve our customers’ challenges. Together, we are creating logistics warehouses fit for future demands, setting a new benchmark for innovation and efficiency.
