Staff can work safely using one of JLG’s PowerTower range of modern alternatives to ladders, scaffolding or podium steps. Its ergonomic design allows operators to work comfortably over longer periods of time, while reducing the potential for musculoskeletal injury, stress, and fatigue. The benefits of working at height safely and comfortably include helping improve work efficiency, increase worker morale, reduce sick pay and workers’ compensation claims, as well as decrease absenteeism and employee turnover.

Ireland’s leading crane safety and service company, Hoistech, has improved crane safety in their clients’ facilities with projected safety signage from Projected Image. Hoistech customers faced challenges with degrading safety floor markings, which led to workers becoming ‘sign blind’ and missing vital health and safety guidance when in the presence of an operating crane. The company sought dynamic and durable safety signage that was clear to read, wouldn’t fade or wear and could move with the crane.

Pickerings Lifts has announced a partnership with Daisy Chain to provide sponsorship and support to the charity that supports autistic and neurodivergent people and their families. The charity, based on a 5.5 acre site in Stockton-On-Tees, has been developing alongside emerging need for over 20 years. As well as providing financial support by sponsoring Daisy Chain’s Night at the Museum Charity Ball in Newcastle (December 2025), Pickerings is also volunteering valuable practical support by making colleagues available to paint their store at Portrack Lane.

As demand for lifting and cranes grows, the industry needs to recruit the workers it requires and develop their skills.
