In an industry where huge unmet demand exists for affordable, reliable forklift trucks, a brand-new solution has entered the scene, offering SMEs an alternative to the used forklift truck market.
HCUK, the exclusive Hangcha distributor in the UK since 2012, has announced the launch of Breeze, a brand-new range of entry-level electric forklift trucks under the well-respected Hangcha brand.
Exclusively available through HCUK – an Aprolis UK company – the Breeze range marks a significant step towards widening access to reliable, high-quality equipment for budget-conscious buyers. With a focus on affordability and practicality, Breeze is specifically designed for businesses that have, until now, relied on second-hand equipment to meet their handling needs.
Where quality meets value
The Breeze line-up includes three versatile models: a four-wheel electric truck, a three-wheel option for tighter turning circles, and a practical electric pallet truck.
The four-wheel model has a 2-3.5 tonne capacity, whilst the three-wheel model can handle 1.5 tonnes. Both models feature a 4500mm Triplex mast, an integral sideshift, and a roof cover.
The Breeze pallet truck can lift 1.5 tonnes, is available in a variety of sizes, and has turtle speed and upright drive functions for ease of use.
All models are built with Hangcha’s hallmark durability and performance yet are tailored specifically for lower-intensity operations, for example, short shifts, light warehouse duties, or intermittent use.
Powered by high-performance EVE lithium batteries, the trucks feature a convenient on-board charger that plugs into a standard outlet, with no specialised infrastructure required. This plug-and-play energy solution not only reduces downtime but also offers a smoother transition for businesses moving away from traditional forklift models.
Addressing unmet market need
The UK’s used forklift market has been under sustained pressure, with rising prices and lack of availability making it challenging for smaller companies to secure dependable, high-quality machines. Breeze enters the market not just as a budget-friendly option, but as a genuine solution that brings high-specification equipment within reach of businesses that have historically made do with ageing or refurbished models.
“There’s huge unmet demand in the SME market for affordable, reliable forklift trucks,” says Ben Afford, Head of Sales and Product Management. “The used market simply isn’t keeping up – either in supply or in quality. Breeze is designed to fill that gap, offering an alternative that doesn’t feel like a compromise. It builds on the success of the Hangcha range, enabling a wider range of customers to access and enjoy this leading equipment.”
Lightening the load
Whilst Breeze is brand new, the support infrastructure behind it is well established. Customers purchasing through HCUK benefit from reliable support from the Hangcha global supply chain and HCUK’s nationwide service and support network. That means technical support, responsive parts availability, and expert maintenance – essential factors for smaller businesses that are heavily reliant on their equipment and are working to tighter budgets.
As the needs of smaller UK warehouses, distributors, and logistics providers evolve, so too must the equipment they rely on. Breeze is well-positioned to be that next step.
Breath of fresh air
With the launch of Breeze, HCUK isn’t just launching a new product – they’re aiming to shift the landscape of materials handling for small and growing businesses.
Whether you’re a materials dealer looking to reach more of the market, a first-time buyer, or an existing forklift truck user seeking to modernise your fleet, Breeze offers a smart, sustainable way forward without breaking the bank.
Not only this, but Breeze provides a fuss-free way of enabling more businesses to go electric, improving the efficiency of their overall operations and helping to improve their all-important green credentials.
Bringing a breath of fresh air to a traditional sector, the new range is set to make materials handling for SMEs a breeze.
