The new UXL series from Yale Lift Truck Technologies are lithium-ion powered trucks launched to meet growing customer demands for efficient, reliable and cost-effective forklifts. As Yale strives to address the real-world challenges warehouse and logistics operations face today, it offers the three-wheel ERP 15-35UXTL and four-wheel ERP16-20UXL.

The new Yale® UXL series forklifts are designed to meet the increasing demands for efficient and sustainable material handling solutions. As Robert O’Donoghue, Vice President of Marketing at Yale Lift Truck Technologies, explains, “The lithium-ion powered Yale UXL series helps varied warehouse and intralogistics operations to tackle the challenges of rising costs while benefitting from clean, zero-emission technology. All without compromising on efficiency.”

These new forklifts eliminate many of the inefficiencies associated with traditional lead-acid batteries. The UXL series does away with the need for scheduled watering, a common requirement for lead-acid models, thereby enhancing workflow and increasing operational time. Additionally, the ability to take advantage of opportunity charging means these forklifts can be quickly charged when not in use, with a full charge taking approximately two and a half hours. Lithium-ion battery charging is also extremely efficient when compared with most lead-acid batteries, allowing for longer running times and better productivity.

Versatility Across Industries

The Yale UXL series is not only efficient but also incredibly versatile, making it suitable for a wide range of industries including manufacturing, logistics, retail, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals. Its compact design and excellent manoeuvrability allow for efficient navigation in narrow aisles, while its responsive performance and consistent lifting power support businesses with diverse materials handling tasks. With lift capacities of up to 3.5 tonnes and a reach of up to 6 metres, the UXL series is capable of moving materials efficiently within various facilities. Travel speeds of up to 16 km/h further contribute to productivity, enabling quick and effective operations in warehouse environments.

Environmental and Cost Benefits

A key feature of the UXL series is its contribution to a cleaner and quieter working environment. With zero exhaust emissions, these forklifts help reduce operational CO2 emissions, aligning with the sustainability goals of many businesses. This environmental benefit is coupled with cost advantages, as the lithium-ion batteries come with a standard 5-year or 7,500-hour warranty, minimising replacement costs and providing a long-lasting fleet solution.

Moreover, the flexible battery design of the UXL series allows businesses to convert to lead-acid power if their requirements change in the future, offering an adaptable solution to evolving business needs.

Enhanced Support and Services

Yale Lift Truck Technologies is committed to supporting its customers through its local independent dealer network. “Yale UXL truck users will also benefit from peace of mind thanks to our well-established independent dealer network which offers exceptional aftermarket support, readily available parts, and a comprehensive warranty programme,” says Robert. “The Yale lithium-ion powered UXL series is further proof of our commitment to providing efficient, cost-effective solutions to the materials handling industry all while continuing to work towards a zero-emission future.”

Real-World Solutions for Real-World Challenges

Yale Lift Truck Technologies understands the importance of addressing real-world challenges faced by warehouse and logistics operations. The new UXL series is a testament to this understanding, offering solutions that support enhanced productivity alongside environmental and cost-efficiency goals. Whether it’s the elimination of scheduled watering, the efficiency of opportunity charging, or the versatility to operate in diverse industries, the UXL series stands out as a comprehensive solution to modern material handling needs.
