Twinplast, the UK’s only dedicated manufacturer of corrugated polypropylene solutions, has launched a new foldable pallet box which costs around 85% less than the traditional plastic equivalent.

Developed by Twinplast’s in-house technical design team, the box comprises three durable components which are supplied flat-packed and can be assembled in seconds. The material is robust and impact-resistant yet weighs significantly less than like-for-like plastic containers. In keeping with the company’s commitment to working sustainably, the product represents a long-life solution that is easily reusable and recyclable.

As well as providing savings on unit price, Twinplast’s foldable box saves on volumetric weight, a critical metric in supporting efficiency in transport and logistics. It will allow companies to adjust their packaging strategies and use lighter materials without compromising product protection.

Tim Steer, Commercial Director at Twinplast, said: “Our foldable pallet box is a solution that we have developed in consultation with a range of clients operating in logistics, warehousing and retail. Having worked with various companies to deliver similar bespoke products for their storage and distribution needs, it became clear that there is enormous demand for pallet boxes that are far more cost-effective and far easier to transport than typical plastic solutions. We can supply bulk orders and fast lead times for this standardised product – many large companies and organisations will be able to make massive savings in their day-to-day operational costs.”

With an unrivalled ability to design custom solutions and advanced manufacturing facilities which can produce infinite shapes and forms, Twinplast offers the widest range of corrugated polypropylene products in the market. Working on behalf of leading businesses and organisations throughout the UK, the company has established a strong presence in a wide range of sectors including FMCG, retail, horticultural, construction, industrial, healthcare, packaging, logistics and pharmaceutical.
