Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings. It is the only way for companies to obtain police recognition for security-related products in the UK. Developed 25 years ago, SBD provides a recognised standard for all security products that effectively deter and reduce crime.
Achieving SBD accreditation is a key part of Stertil’s goal to deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure industrial doors.
Our overhead sectional doors are suitable for all industrial applications and many commercial and specialist uses, such as loading bay dock doors used in distribution centres that handle large volumes of goods.
Featuring optional anti-lift locking devices and interlocked shoot-bolts, customers can customise the doors to suit their specific security requirements.
Security is further enhanced with robust door panels made of a double skin of galvanised steel, insulated with polyurethane foam infill, which bonds to the steel for additional strength. Panel edges are reinforced with strong galvanised steel, providing a secure mounting for the wheel carriage and hinge assembly.
In addition to enhanced security, Stertil’s overhead sectional doors offer important safety benefits, including finger protection at panel-to-panel joints and cable break safety devices, boosting operational safety and reducing the risk of accidents.
