FBS Hörmann has announced the appointment of John Aitken as their new Managing Director. John, who was previously the company’s Technical Director, has been with FBS Hörmann for the past 16 years and brings extensive knowledge and experience to his new role.
Having started his career in the loading bay and industrial door world as an apprentice, John spent 14 years at a well-known company working his way up through the business to become general manager. He then spent time working in the cleanroom and food sectors, gaining experience in project management and spending time working abroad. He joined Fen-Bay Services in 2008 and has been involved in all aspects of growing a successful business, becoming Technical Director in 2013.
2021 saw the acquisition of Fen-Bay by the Hörmann Group, with the company now trading as FBS Hörmann. The company specialises in the supply of industrial doors and loading bays primarily for the refurbishment market, perimeter protection systems and is the market leader in the provision of industrial service and maintenance support. FBS Hörmann now employs in excess of 255 staff working across the three divisions and is undergoing a period of rapid growth and expansion.
