BBL Batteries is a leading, multi branch, U.K. based, battery business that is increasingly focused on the development, introduction and distribution of new and improved battery technologies to today’s market.
Founded in 1972 and proud to be one of the few fully independent family enterprises in the aftermarket, BBL Batteries, formally Bristol Batteries Ltd, understands that being the best in an ever increasingly competitive market is down to a number of core competences. These include experience, expertise and unrivalled, superior customer service as well as the desire to solve problems and advise on solutions that work for their customers. Battery technology has changed across the many different market places during the last 20 years and BBL Batteries have constantly developed their range to be a cutting edge business, offering the latest technology.

The journey began on the 4th September in 1972 by Graham and Jacqualine Bultitude. Their first premises was located in Backfields, St Pauls in Bristol. The demand for premium quality batteries and associated products, exceptional value and BBL’s legendary service excellence meant that it wasn’t long before the company outgrew the Backfields premises. A much larger premises, located in Newfoundland Road provided the solution. 50 years and two moves later BBL have a network of 5 branches covering the Southwest, with their Head Office still situated in central Bristol.
A core strength and one of the secrets to their success are the BBL Batteries staff, many of whom have worked for the company for decades!
