UKWA has announced the shortlist of finalists for its 2022 Awards for Excellence in the Industry, which will be presented at the Association’s popular Annual Lunch & Awards ceremony on Tuesday 28th June.
This year, a change of venue will see the celebrations take place at London’s Royal Lancaster Hotel, with winners being presented with their awards in front of an audience of around 500 colleagues, customers, and industry peers.
UKWA CEO Clare Bottle confirmed that the quality of entries has been exceptionally high this time, presenting the judging panel with some difficult decisions.
“It’s been impressive to read of the many achievements and innovations of our members, so choosing just three finalists in each category proved just too much of a challenge this year – particularly for Best New Member and Young Employee of the Year,” she said.
“After two years’ break, we’re really looking forward to a fantastic event and to meeting up with our many friends, colleagues and customers across the industry. This has always been known as a great forum for networking and we will be more than happy for guests to stay beyond the official time frame to continue conversations.”
John Humphrys, award-winning veteran broadcaster, journalist and political commentator, will be the special guest for the occasion. He will present the Awards and entertain guests with insights and stories delivered in his uniquely wry style.
The Drinks Reception will start at 12 noon, followed by a 3-course Lunch. The afternoon is expected to conclude around 5pm.

The final category is the Chairman’s Award, which is nominated by the UKWA Chairman and recognises an outstanding individual who has made exceptional contribution to the industry. The worthy winner will be announced by UKWA Chairman Neil Bowker at the Lunch on 28th June.
