Steps and Stillages make holding stock a pleasure

Changing times place ever changing demands on companies as they try to respond to evolving customer requirements and changes in the market place. Steps and Stillages Ltd are a manufacturer of all forms of stillages, roll pallets and mobile steps and supply into all aspects of industry. As a family company into its second generation, they have made just about every type and style of trolley and stillage out there and pride themselves on their flexible ability to make non-standard products.

As a manufacturer though, one of the biggest changes is the pressure on lead times and availability – everyone wants it now! In response to this, Steps and Stillages have created a range of standard stillages and post pallets and hold them in stock ready for immediate delivery. The cages are available with either sheet steel or mesh sides and are also available in a folding design. With standard sizes in stock, custom made stillages can still be produced using automated robotic welding lines in their factory in Kettering, Northants.

Also available are several ranges of mobile steps for warehouse and industrial use with platform heights going up to 5 metres. The step treads and side frames are held in stock and the mobile ladders are then assembled to order taking just a couple of days.

No one likes holding stock these days, but Steps and Stillages have responded to customer requests for stillages from stock, but they have still kept the fundamental flexibility to produce custom equipment.
