Palletline has won big at the commercial transport industry’s most prestigious awards. The palletised distribution specialist and its members collectively took home more awards than any other organisation.

Palletline, a co-operative of the UK’s leading hauliers with its headquarters in Solihull, Birmingham, collected the ‘Safety in Operation Award’ and ‘Team of the Year’ accolades.
“We put our trust in our people and they never let us down,” said Kevin Buchanan, Managing Director of Palletline. “We are absolutely delighted with the result. ‘Team of the Year’ is a real testament to our whole way of working – we pride ourselves on always being there for our members, enabling them to prosper in challenging times and supporting them with whatever they need. Nothing is more important to us.”
Palletline is based in the Starley Way Industrial Estate, and has hubs in London, Manchester and Scotland – all of which are operated to the highest levels of Health & Safety.
Commenting on the ‘Safety in Operation Award’, Kevin added: “Our network has continually been at the forefront in this most crucial area of responsibility. There was some stiff competition, but Palletline demonstrated exemplary procedures and an organisation wide culture of continuous improvement.”
Palletline members also fared well on the night, with Leighton Buzzard based Miniclipper Logistics taking the ‘Partnership Award’ for its work with Nexans Logistics. Treasure Transport’s eye-catching ‘beer can’ trailer design made the Grantham based haulier an easy decision for ‘Livery of the Year’.
Peter Carroll, leader of FairFuelUK was given the special ‘Service to Industry Award’ – nominated by staunch supporter Palletline. The panel were unanimous in their decision, recognising Peter’s tireless campaigning to lower Fuel Duty for British motorists.
The Motor Transport Awards are the road transport industry event of the year. More than 1,600 guests attended the Grosvenor House in London to celebrate what is commonly referred to as the transport industry ‘Oscars’ – hosted this year by comedian and Mock the Week star Dara O’Briain. The Awards celebrate the achievements of the industry and recognise ‘innovation, outstanding service, efficiency and quality’. They are judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the industry.
Palletline, the first palletised distribution network, will be putting its new trophies alongside last year’s ‘Network of the Year’ award, which had special significance as it was won during the network’s 20th anniversary year.
Kevin added: “We are all exceptionally proud of our team and our members, and couldn’t have wished for a better start to the next 20 years!”
