NFT, the UK’s leading provider of time critical logistics solutions within the food retail and manufacturing sectors, has launched its sister company, NFX.

NFX provides a revolutionary on-demand supply chain management function, supported by an intelligent IT solution, targeted at the food retail industry.

Built upon in-depth industry expertise, a responsive data platform and an extensive partner network, NFX enables distributors, retailers, and suppliers to access real-time supply chain solutions through connections with hundreds of its logistics partners.

NFX is targeted at a gap in the marketplace where customers require additional supply chain capacity to be available in a highly flexible manner.

Through a unique combination of industry knowledge and innovative technology, combined with its network, the NFX service is generating considerable interest within the industry and is now operating up to 400 loads a week across the chilled, frozen and ambient food sectors.

NFX operations commenced in November 2009 and delivered initial success in the busy Christmas period that followed. Operations have continued to grow and deliver results for customers who experience short lead times, high volumes and who need extra haulage support to fulfil requirements.

NFX’s web-enabled systems rapidly match the needs of customers with an appropriate solution executed at a competitive price. Lead times can be as short as four hours, with NFX systems tracking available vehicles in real-time. The precision of the NFX service also helps to make it environmentally-sound; matching the most appropriate vehicle with each load to help minimise food miles and carbon emissions. At all times, arrangements are underpinned by the NFT group.

NFX has a rapidly growing customer base and is providing solutions for manufacturers and retailers across the entire food and drink grocery market.
