Several new features and events at February’s Logistics Link South show proved to be big attractions for both visitors and exhibitors, getting the New Year off to a solid start for the industry. Around a quarter of everyone attending took part in the brand new Logistics Manager conferences, with standing room only at some and with most people going to at least two sessions. The new Buyer Networking Lounge, where visitors were able meet and chat confidentially with their peers in a relaxed environment between conference sessions, was also voted a big hit.
The organisers immediately confirmed that their next show, Logistics Link Live at the NEC 8-9 June, will include both events as well as a number of other innovations planned. Running alongside Subcon, the UK’s leading subcontract manufacturing show, Logistics Link Live will provide even better time-value for visitors across a wide range of business sectors.
Managing director David Drinnan of regular exhibitor Logistics Link Inotec commented; “Logistics Link South is always one of our most productive exhibitions and our RFID ‘The Time is Right’ seminars were again well attended. The leads we collected show that our new products Duraline Rapid and Inotec Floor Block as well as our existing line marking and barcode products are of real interest in the current market and we have already signed up for 2012.” Doosan dealer Forktruck Direct Ltd echoes these views. Sales Director Stephen Cullen added: “We were very pleased with the show and are confident about the leads generated.”
The quality of visitors also impressed exhibitors, with leading names such as Waitrose, Screwfix, Sainsbury, Shell, Dunelm Mill, UNICEF, House of Fraser, Majestic Wine and BAE among those attending.
Logistics Link Live has the added attraction of being at the NEC, one of the UK and Europe’s leading exhibition centres. Highlights will include a Live Demonstration Arena, free seminar programme featuring case studies from blue-chip logistics suppliers and users, a feature that proved popular at Logistics Link South, as well as a buyer’s networking lounge.
Offering a number of different events to help visitors learn more about the latest developments in one time-effective day – the exhibition, live displays, conference, seminar and networking – Logistics Link Live promises to be the year’s most valuable source of innovative and practical ideas exchange in logistics and handling.
