Hand and arm protection for workplace cut hazards has been further enhanced thanks to the launch of two new gloves and a new and improved cut resistant sleeve from Marigold Industrial®. Following hard on the heels of the high performance PU1000 cut resistant glove, the launch of the PX 145SP and PX145 SP Long and FS-Fin 14 sleeve enhances Marigold Industrial’s already extensive range of cut resistance gloves, developed for a wide range of industry sectors.
Knitted using the latest cut resistant fibre technology, the PX145 SP and PX145 SP Long are manufactured using Spectra® fibre, providing resistance against cut hazards such as sharp metal components.
One of the world’s strongest fibre’s, Spectra® is, weight for weight, 10 times stronger than steel and more durable than polyester.
But it is the combination of abrasion, cut and tear resistance combined with extremely high levels of dexterity and comfort that set the new PX 145 SP gloves apart.
Physical protection comes in the shape of abrasion and cut resistance (level 4 and 3 respectively under EN388), in addition to EN388 level 4 tear resistance and level 2 puncture resistance.
The addition of the polyurethane palm coating means the PX 145 SP gloves, which are vailable in sizes 6 to 11, not only give the wearer excellent grip but provide resistance against residual oils and greases on materials being handled.
Comfort and dexterity is provided as a result of the seamless Spectra® fibre’s ability to stretch to the shape of the hand whilst the elasticated knitted wrist provides a snug, comfortable fit.
Joining the PX145 SP gloves are the new Fireblade FS FIN 14 sleeves, providing protection for those people working with materials that pose a cut threat to the arms.
The Kevlar knitted sleeves with a polyamide yarn section covering the hand section of the sleeve, provide the wearer with level 3 cut protection for the wrist and arm and a more comfortable and better ventilated fit for the hand, enabling a cut resistant glove to be worn more readily and aid dexterity.
Available in 10, 14, 18 and 22 inch lengths the FS FIN sleeves complement the range of cut resistant gloves available from Marigold Industrial® beautifully, ensuring hand and arm protection for staff.
“Cuts remain a major safety issue for many businesses across the UK and the combination of developing fibre technology and our commitment to manufacturing expertise means that we are able to develop an increasing range of cut protection solutions for different environments, applications and requirements,” said Marigold Industrial UK Country Manager John Williams.
