Avanta UK Ltd – The Leeds based Storage Equipment and Interior Fit Out Specialist is celebrating 20 years of incorporation.
Formed in 2000 following the merger of two West Yorkshire based businesses – Castleford’s Abacus Storage and Bradford’s Pennine Storage, the new business relocated to the vibrant Northern Powerhouse of Leeds.
Initially the company specialized in the design, supply and installation of pallet racking, shelving, mezzanine floors, partitions and associated construction systems. It held stocks of storage bins, tubes and angles and had a steady flow of regular customers ordering through the Avanta catalogues.
Twenty years on, Avanta has a £15 million turnover and is working on large scale projects. Today their client base is diverse ranging from Next, Jet2, Mclaren, Boohoo, Redbull, Arrow XL, End Clothing and many more throughout the UK.
Strong relationships built over the years with manufacturing and supply partners has enabled the company to provide a full turnkey solution (including electrical and mechanical works). In essence, Avanta is a one stop shop for multi-site clients.
In the past twenty years the company has maintained steady growth even during periods of economic recession… And now as we see growth in Internet retail, an increase in the number of new warehouse builds / re-organisation and changing technologies the Senior Management Team at Avanta are looking forward to the next twenty years.
