What’s the most exciting thing about your job?
The fact that no two days are the same!
Who has inspired you most in your career?
It’s the uninspring people I have worked with who have inspired me the most. It gives me a good sense of how not to do things and sets a benchmark on how to do better.
If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
A CCTV camera.
If you had your time again, what would you do different?
I wouldn’t overthink things, go with your gut feel it’s normally the right one.
What’s your favourite pastime?
Walking, it’s a whole day out for free.
Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?
I used to be a kick boxer, but I hung up my boxing gloves and swapped them for dancing shoes. I am currently learning to ballroom dance.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in your career?
Falling up the stairs in front of a conference room of 200 people to collect an award.
Do you have any hidden talents?
Many.
Who would be your favourite party guest?
Tyson Fury, he’s outrageous.
What is the greatest luxury in your life?
My family and my health.
If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
Make my family rich first then buy a fast car, a mansion and an expensive holiday.
Who or what makes you laugh?
My 18 year old son, he’s so completely clueless it’s hilarious at times.
What’s your dream holiday?
All inclusive on a desert island.
What’s your favourite music album?
Radiohead – The Bends.
What’s your favourite movie or Netflix series?
I dont watch movies as my attention span is way too short. But I love box sets. Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter, Bates Motel and Handmaids Tale are my top five.
What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?
Get to know all areas of the business to make you a good all-rounder. Never see anything as too much work, take on new opportunities and embrace them as developing a new skill set. Be brave. It will see you right for your long-term career.
