Award-winning third party logistics provider, Core Management Logistics (CML), is thrilled to announce that the company has been shortlisted as a finalist in the People Development Award category at the 2019 CILT (UK) Annual Awards for Excellence.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) has over 33,000 members worldwide and is an organisation for industry professionals involved in the movement of goods and people and their associated supply chains. The CILT Annual Awards celebrates those companies achieving excellence and the 2019 ceremony will be taking place on Thursday 17th October at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. The People Development Award acknowledges those organisations who have taken an innovative approach to staff development supported by an overall commitment to enhancing the skills of its employees.
Commenting on being shortlisted as a finalist for the People Development award, CML’s PR & Marketing Manager, Claire Medhurst, said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised by the CILT for the People Development Award and are extremely excited to be attending the prestigious event in October, particularly as it’s CILT’s Centenary year. Having won the Training Award at the recent UKWA awards and to have also been shortlisted for the Future Skills Award at the Logistics Awards, this is a fantastic achievement for CML to be acknowledged in this way and is further testament to the importance of staff development.
CML opened a dedicated training centre last year and is developing its team through a number of E-Learning modules alongside various external training courses for CML’s Management Team, Team Leaders and its Supervisors which included topics such as developing and motivating people, communication, problem solving and team building.”
