What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Working on something completley innovative within our industry, I firmly believe given the scope of what we are designing and manufacturing, warehouse robotics can change the face of warehousing in the UK.

Who has inspired you most in your career?

The people I have worked with – colleagues, suppliers and clients. I have managed to forge so many friendships and strong work relationships that have stood the test of time.

If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

Fork lift truck – has the agilty and versatility to move in any direction, quickly.

If you had your time again, what would you do different?

Stay longer working in Australia to enjoy the Australian lifestyle as long as possible.

What’s your favourite pastime?

A day at the races.

Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?

With a young family now I am limited on the sport I can play but I still find time to support Everton and Lancashire County Cricket.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in your career?

As a Warehouse Manager I completed ‘a day in the life’ at Arla Foods NDC picking in the warehouse. I picked up a case of cream but dropped it causing it to split and spill, much to the amusement of my picking colleagues on the day.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I can do a dolphin sound impression.

Who would be your favourite party guest?

Micheal Atherton (Ex-England Cricket Captain).

What is the greatest luxury in your life?

Mowing the grass and retiring to my man shed.

If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

I’d make sure my family were all taken care of, and then would make a number of investments.

Who or what makes you laugh?

Only Fools and Horses.

What’s your dream holiday?

An adventure to a desert island.

What’s your favourite album?

Beautiful South, Carry on up the Charts.

What’s your favourite movie or Netflix series?

Designated Survivor… Keifer

Sutherland a future US President? What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry?

Work hard, show willing, enjoy your journey and you can progress as far as you want within the industry.
