The supply chain solutions firm, whose offices and main warehouse are located in Crick, took the awards for Growth Company of the Year and SME of the Year (Above 50 Employees) at the fourth annual Northamptonshire Logistics Awards ceremony earlier this month.

In addition to the successes of the firm as a whole, two members of its staff were shortlisted as finalists in a further two categories: Senior Operations Manager Richard Mallard was an Achiever of the Year finalist, while Lee Hemming was shortlisted for HGV Driver of the Year.

The NX Group has a proven track record of taking on board customer feedback and reviewing its services in response to customer requirements. Having seen a significant increase in enquires regarding Brexit stockpiling over the last six months, the firm has responded by providing additional warehouse spaces and customer advice. The company has also begun to operate 24 hours a day, five days a week and has introduced its ecommerce solutions, all in response to customer requests.

Organised by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, the Awards have been running since 2016 and have already become a highly-anticipated regional event. The NX Group’s Chairman, Mike Powell, attended this month’s ceremony along with Financial Director Russell Powell, Marketing Manager Helen Chick and Richard Mallard, the three of whom collected the awards on behalf of the firm. Russell Powell said: “It’s an absolute pleasure and a privilege to have won Growth Company of the Year and SME of the Year at this month’s Logistics Awards. Following a successful year in terms of customer growth and expansion of our services, these awards are well-deserved recognition for our dedicated and hardworking team.

“We are looking forward to continuing to improve our operations, expand our workforce and deliver the best service possible for our customers.”

Charlotte Patrick, Forum Lead at the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, said: “It was great to see The NX Group pick up a double win at this year’s Northamptonshire Logistics Awards. These accolades recognise the firm’s growth in international trade and new contracts with European customers, as well as commitment to modifying its services and operations as a result of customer feedback.”
