The international forklift truck manufacturer UniCarriers is in search of the most talented forklift operator attending this year’s International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX) in Birmingham. Together with Talent in Logistics, UniCarriers will host the first ever Forklift Operator Challenge at the exhibition from September 24th to 27th 2019. Entrants will have the opportunity to prove their skill by operating UniCarriers’ Award winning electric counterbalance truck TX3.

For this year’s IMHX, UniCarriers partner up with Talent in Logistics to honour adept forklift truck operators. By operating a UniCarriers TX3 counterbalance truck, participants will be able to demonstrate their level of skill and accuracy. ‘I am absolutely thrilled to be working with UniCarriers at IMHX this year’, says Ruth Edwards, Business Manager at Talent in Logistics.

‘We have worked together for some time now on our forklift operator competitions and so it seemed only right to partner once again with an organisation that is passionate about recognising the people that operate this great machinery. It is fantastic to be bringing this live challenge to the 2019 event giving anyone with a valid counterbalance qualification the opportunity to get involved.’

Intriguing challenge with the award winning TX3

Chris Bates, Sales Director at UniCarriers UK, comments: ‘The Talent in Logistics team always creates visually intriguing driver challenges. Our event at IMHX will not only test the competitors’ skills from the very start but will also provide the audience with a vibrant spectacle’. Before the challenge, UniCarriers will familiarise each entrant with the truck.

The TX3 is UniCarriers’ award winning electric counterbalance truck – the Red Dot Design Award in 2018 was just recently followed by the IFOY Award 2019. Competitors at the IMHX event will be able to enjoy the truck’s ergonomically designed cab with an optimal all-round visibility. The Forklift Operator Challenge will take place at the Talent in Logistics stand 6B190. But entrants will need to register first at the UniCarriers stand 6A180. To take part, one has to be a qualified counterbalance lift truck operator and provide proof of that on-site.

With over 400 exhibitors and more than 16,000 attendees, IMHX is the UK’s largest logistics exhibition. At this meeting place for professionals involved in the handling, movement or transportation of goods throughout the supply chain, UniCarriers representatives will be available at stand 6A180 to provide information on materials handling equipment as well as advice for specific business challenges.
