A multi-temperature warehousing and logistics site called in Perimeter Security Maintenance to upgrade their site security gates. It wasn’t practical to automate the existing swing gates so a ‘cantilever’ sliding gate was proposed. The new gate needed to include a new access entry post and maintain the 9.5m clear opening width needed for vehicle access.
David Bolton Technical Account Manager explains; “The BID9000 Cantilever Sliding Gate is more suited to this type of opening due to their quicker speed and continuously rated operating motors and is a a cost effective, low maintenance and simple way of controlling access to site.
The internal roller mechanism ensures a smooth and consistent ease of operation providing a durable and efficient service for years to come.
Optional spikes line the top of the gate to deter intruders. The extruded aluminium gate design is a lot lighter than older conventional steel framed models and is fully EC safety compliant. The gate is delivered as a complete unit from the factory and lowered on to a preinstalled concrete support base by HIAB crane which saves valuable installation site time.
