One of the products launched in 2018 by Irish materials handling manufacturer Combilift has been nominated for yet another award. The Combi-PPT powered pallet truck is a finalist in the 2019 NED Innovation Awards, run by the American publication New Equipment Digest. This is the fourth annual cycle of the Awards, and from over 2000 new products that were covered in the last 12 months by the editorial team, just 22 were chosen as the most innovative in their markets.

The Combi-PPT is a high performance pedestrian operated powered pallet truck with a range of capacities from 3,000kg up to 16,000kg, which enables the safe and secure transportation of very heavy loads without the need for a ride-on forklift. The design and features – which include Combilift’s unique, patented multiposition tiller arm – ensure optimum visibility of the load and surroundings for the operator and guarantee maximum safety in areas where other personnel may be present, in busy production plants for example. Its manouevrability and small footprint enables efficient, productive and stress-free ergonomic handling of even the heaviest and bulkiest loads in confined spaces.

“Innovation is a cornerstone of Combilift’s philosophy so we are delighted that the editors at NED have chosen the Combi-PPT as a finalist from the many new products they reviewed,” said Combilift MD Martin McVicar. “We hope that the readers agree by casting their votes for us.”

The Combi-PPT with 8,000kg capacity is a finalist in the prestigious IFOY Awards – one of three products shortlisted by the jury in the Warehouse Truck category. The winner will be announced at the end of April in a ceremony in Vienna.
