Culina Group has established an exciting partnership agreement with Stafford based SOR to provide Specialist Chilled Trailers to Group companies.
The initial order, for delivery between now and November, is for forty bespoke trailers, twenty for Culina Logistics – market leader in UK chilled shared user logistics, and twenty for Morgan McLernon – the Group operation in Northern and Southern Ireland.
“The relationship between Culina Group and SOR is in its infancy with this order being the first of what we hope will be many,” said Thomas Van Mourik – Culina Group CEO.
“SOR are a Stafford based company with a strong European parent so we are getting the best of both worlds as a customer, a committed local partner supplier, supported by an international infrastructure with a powerful pedigree. This is going to be an exciting partnership for both businesses.”
Each 13.6 metre tri-axle trailer will have BPW drum brakes, sliding suzie rails, one piece aluminium chequer plate flooring, a rear compression bar, an SOR heavy duty rear bottom threshold, and Thermo King SLXi 300-50 refrigeration units. “It’s really exciting for us to be working closely with Culina Group at such a dynamic period in the company’s growth,” said Steve Barker of SOR.
“What our clients have highlighted about SOR Trailers is their resistance, manoeuvrability and robustness. We are looking forward to further enhancing the Culina Group service to its own clients through their operation of our unique high quality trailers.”
Established in 1970, and now one of the top trailer manufacturers in Europe, SOR is continually working on new innovations in refrigeration, using increasingly light materials to improve load capacity.
