Michael Ganem has been promoted to Area Business Director, Southern Europe for Yale Europe Materials Handling.

The Parisian will lead the Southern European team in continuing the development of the Yale® brand across the region. The spotlight will remain on driving the established dealer network to grow profitable market share, as well as providing support to new dealer start-ups.

Michael joined the company in 2007 as a Territory Manager, before progressing to Major Account Manager, Major Account Sales Manager, and Director of Business Development and Major Accounts. Prior to this he studied electronics at university before going on to work in various sales positions in the materials handling equipment sector.

Commenting on his new role, Michael said: “I am looking forward to the challenges ahead as we continue to grow our awareness of the Yale brand in Southern Europe. I have spent much of my career in operational functions in the field, and now I have the incredible opportunity to use my knowledge of the market in more strategic functions. This will allow me, I hope, to develop a new vision of the business with our dealer partners in Southern Europe.”

Michael replaces Christophe Maillet, who has been promoted to VP Network Development EMEA to focus on the development and execution of the Yale distribution strategy. He will also be responsible for delivering the EMEA Dealer Excellence Programme.

Christophe, who has been with the company since 1997, said: “I have enjoyed my time immensely as Area Business Director for Southern Europe, but I look forward to the opportunity of achieving the clear strategic objectives that have been put in place in my new role.”
