Jungheinrich UK has sponsored the new Global Edition o the board game Business on the Move as part o its commitment to supporting tomorrow’s workorce o logistics and supply chain proessionals.

The game, which irst launched in 2014, aims to encourage engagement with the supply chain in schools rom an early age, while ostering greater gender diversity and challenging preconceptions.

rom IT experts to web developers and global logistics experts, Business on the Move will help raise awareness o the ull range o career opportunities available within the industry.

With ew o the 2,800 copies o the original UK version remaining, a cross-section o 42 supply chain organisations rom around the world, including Jungheinrich UK, have come together to make the new Global Edition. Players must run multimodal businesses delivering reight as quickly, proitably and responsibly as they can, conronting business challenges met by the industry dayto- day.

Patricia Smedley, one o the game’s two co-creators and a Director o the social enterprise behind Business on the Move, comments: “At a time o skills shortages and increasing globalisation it has never been more important to build the curiosity and interest o young people in supply chains rom an early age.

“It is important that ‘Logistics & Supply Chains’ become a career o choice rather than a ortunate accident.
