Young apprentices keen to pursue a career in transport and logistics are being given a helping hand by the Fortec Distribution Network.

Fortec, based at Watford Gap, currently has three apprentices in place – Alex Carmichael, aged 21, Harry Laverick, aged 18 and Laura Brown, aged 19.

Laura, is working towards her latest qualification – NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service – after completing NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration over a year ago. In her role as Member Support Advisor, Laura is a valued part of the team which handles inbound queries from the 84- strong network of members nationwide.

Harry recently joined the team at Fortec in his role as Marketing Assistant. He joined the company straight from college and is currently studying for an NVQ Level 3 in Digital Marketing.

Alex began his apprenticeship in October 2017 and is working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration. In his role as Compliance Assistant he provides admin support for the Health, Safety and Security team which is responsible for a wide range of activities.
