Business is booming for the Newcastle Road branch of leading logistics provider, Europa Worldwide Group, which has celebrated significant growth in the first quarter of the year.

The team of nine, based in Monkton Business Park in South Tyneside, has achieved a 30% increase in turnover compared with the same time last year, while shipments have increased by 54%. This success is down to a combination of new business and organic growth from their customer base.
As well as these figures, the branch is continuing to experience success in the automotive sector thanks to many customers embracing Europa’s MBX (Money Back Express) service.
Europa launched the pioneering new service in August 2017, offering new and existing customers the opportunity to benefit from a full refund of freight charges if Europa fails to deliver to the customer’s defined and agreed transit time. Mat Jobson, Branch Manager at Europa Newcastle, said: “We couldn’t be happier with these figures, which are the result of a lot of hard work by the team. They reflect both the growing reputation of Europa as one of leading logistics providers in the country and the industrial confidence of the region we serve.
“The MBX Service has been a big hit with new and existing customers because it provides guaranteed efficiency, which gives Europa a great advantage. The automotive sector is hugely important to our business and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to expand our customerbase whilst providing the best possible service.”
The branch, which last year celebrated its most profitable year in its 23-year history, has welcomed two new Account Managers in the past six months and is looking to hire an additional Account Manager and Sales Operator.
