Leading UK-based independent freight forwarding specialist, dap UK Ltd is pleased to announce the opening of its new state-of-the art warehouse in Gorleston-on-sea, Great Yarmouth. The new facility became fully operational in March 2018 and is situated in Beacon Park, the premier business location on the east coast of East Anglia. Increasing dap UK Ltd’s local employment by 30 percent, the new warehouse is set to become an approved customs bonded facility within the next 12 months. This modern facility is fully equipped to handle bulk storage requirements and features modern narrow aisle racking systems for maximum operational efficiency. The Beacon Park location has Enterprise Zone status and offers immediate access to the A12, A47 and A143 trunk roads.
Environmental efficiency was one of the major considerations in the design of this new warehouse and it features the latest technological advances such as, solar power generation and charging points for electric vehicles. As part of its continued commitment to reducing its environmental impact, the company has also further developed its policy on renewables and, in addition to the adoption of solar energy wherever possible, it has also replaced all of its company cars with hybrid vehicles that can be charged on site, only uses electric forklift trucks and has adopted a stringent recycling policy for all paper and plastic waste.
