Last week saw the dedicated team at Antalis’ Interlink and Hilltop offices, Coalville, don their reddest outfits in a one-off fundraising event designed to raise money for a very special cause.

A CLOSE SHAVE: One Antalis employee gets
a clean cut in turn for extra donations.

The ‘Wear Red for Ruby’ event, held on Friday 23rd February, was designed to support little Ruby, 3, the daughter of an Antalis customer who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

The condition, the most common form of childhood cancer, means Ruby, one of two twin girls, will have to undergo a range of treatments.

In support of Ruby, the Antalis team organised the ‘Wear Red Ruby’ fundraiser where staff were encouraged to sport an item of red clothing and donate £1 to the charity, while other money raising activities took place at the office throughout the day, including a bake sale and a book sale. Plus, one brave employee really did go a cut above the rest by shaving his head for £250 worth of extra donations.

A grand total of £1,023 was raised as a result of the fundraiser all of which will go directly to Ruby and her family to help over the coming months.
