Ambitious, growth-oriented businesses in the logistics industry are invited to a free workshop to help them innovate and increase productivity.

The event takes place on Thursday 1 March 2018 at Stanford Hall in Lutterworth. Attendees will gain a better understanding on where to go for innovation funding and practical advice on what’s available and how to apply. Plus expert insight into future trends and the opportunity to connect with potential collaborators.

The event hosts, Innovate UK, are the Government agency responsible for stimulating business-led innovation in order to drive productivity and growth in the UK economy. Since 2003 Innovate UK has invested £340m in the East Midlands to support 1900 projects in 900 companies.

Julian Bowrey, Innovate UK regional manager said: “Innovation is key to business success. We have a thriving logistics sector in the East Midlands and our central location and transport infrastructure systems means we are the natural choice for many distribution companies, with fast access to the motorway network and East Midlands Airport is the UK base for major global couriers DHL and UPS. We want to ensure that businesses, large and small, receive the support they need to innovate and enjoy long term success.”

The event will feature expert speakers on future opportunities and challenges plus national and local experts on all aspects of business growth and innovation. Tickets for this event are free and are open to firms across the country. Places are limited so early booking is advised.
