The LogiMAT trade fair, which takes place in Stuttgart from 13th – 15th March is an increasingly popular destination for visitors from the UK as the show has grown in size and scope. Now in its 16th year and with the slogan “Digital-Connected- Innovative” there will be an increased focus in 2018 on developments in the fields of digitisation and Industry. 4.0.
ELOKON, which opened its new UK base in Birmingham last year, has a new look stand in Hall 10, Stand G21, where it will be exhibiting products from its wide range of RFID, radar and intelligent laser based safety solutions, which reduce the risk of accidents in the warehouse to safeguard personnel, equipment and loads. These include the mobile personal protection and anti-collison system ELOprotect, ELOspeed for automatic speed reduction of forklifts, and the ELOfleet forklift fleet management systems.
New functionalities of ELOKON’s radio based warning system, ELOshield, such as the extended verification and a stationary unit, will also be a focal point on the stand. ELOshield is available in three variants: as a personal protection system; to avoid collisions between forklift trucks or for the configuration of protective zones in fixed areas in the warehouse. ELOKON MD Alex Glasmacher will also be hosting seminars on day one and day three of LogiMAT on the topic of how the logistics sector can learn from the automotive industry when it comes to advanced driver assistance systems and the development of autonomous vehicle technology.
