Ergonomic Tool Design Engineered For Safety

The Slice 10400 Manual Box Cutter

Slice® made its name in safety design with the original 10400 Manual Box Cutter and the 10503 Auto-Retractable Box Cutter. The box cutters, one of our first collaborations with designers Scot Herbst and Alfredo Muccino, lead to Red Dot Design Awards and a future of safer tools.

Unlike any other box cutter on the market, the tools’ distinctive J-hook handle design protects the user from staples on the box, guides the hand for a straighter cut, and creates an ergonomic angle for cutting. It also acts as a hook to keep the blade where it belongs: outside your pocket.

Our box cutters are one of our original products and remain customer favorites. Shipping and receiving departments appreciate blades that open corrugated without damaging the merchandise inside, while safety officers love our finger-friendly blades. Everyone enjoys an easier, more ergonomic way to open boxes.

– TJ Scimone, Slice founder and CEO

Slice approaches every aspect of design with fresh eyes and safety as our top priority. Slice® box cutters expose only enough blade to slice through double-walled corrugated, lowering the impact of accidental lacerations (for triple-walled corrugated, we make utility knives with longer blades). And our proprietary finger-friendly® blade edge is safer to touch than regular blades while moving through materials easily. Through iconic tools like the Slice Box Cutters, Slice is keeping workers safe, one facility at a time.
