Glossop based AOML Packaging are a close team that cater for packaging requirements, often at short notice and to tight timescales. Their range of machinery and transport make AOML more than capable of producing and delivering high quality corrugated products on time; however after acquiring a new piece of machinery and also an upturn in sales, they approached Aganto, temporary building specialists, with the requirement of additional storage.
The new piece of machinery meant existing warehouse space would need to be taken up by it and thus the finished product would be stored in the Aganto temporary building. The decision for the purchase of the machinery and its delivery was only 2-3 weeks and therefore Aganto had to act quickly. The client acquired planning permission on a retrospective basis, and allowed installation in the time frame allotted by the client.
Sales manager John Hutchinson recommended a 7.5m wide x 25m long x 5.2m eave unit over a 5 year rental period to ease the storage problems on site. A green PVC material thermo insulated roof and green steel sheet walling were used to stop condensation within the unit and the green blended the unit perfectly into the surrounding environment of residential housing.
AOML had looked into the possibility of renting another industrial unit yet it soon became clear to them that this option was a non-starter due to the costs so looked at temporary storage buildings.
AOML’s MD Mike White explains: “This is when we came across Aganto and John Hutchinson. John came to see us within a couple of days of my call; we had prices and drawings including a birds eye view of exactly where the building would sit, enabling us to work out how the yard would operate around it in a matter of days.
“It was an easy decision to go ahead and the order was placed, the building was erected within 3 weeks in a very professional manner and only took 3 days from start to finish. I would not hesitate to use Aganto in the future either to extend the existing building or erect a new one.”
Another customer happy with fast, additional space to accommodate growth and converted to the much more flexible and easy concept of temporary industrial buildings.
