On Thursday 21st September 2017 seventeen teams of four players per team took part in a Golf tournament hosted by Ludlow Golf Club in Shropshire.

The event was organised by Alison Heuvelink and held in memory of Alison’s late husband, who lost his battle against the rare and progressive neurological condition – Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) ten years ago. Alison organised this event to raise funds for the PSP Association, to donate towards aiding research to discover a cure.

Supply Chain and Logistics Specialists Gideon Hillman Consulting supported the event by securing donations from two of its clients; Srixon Sports (a brand owned by Dunlop Sports which offers a full range of golf clubs, golf balls, and accessories) and Acushnet (manufacturers of Titleist golf balls as well as apparel and accessories under the brands FootJoy and Pinnacle).

Both companies provided prizes for the event with the winning team of four each receiving a Srixon SRX Z-FOUR Stand Bag.

Players were awarded up to 5th place for the team event, and another four items were donated, and presented as individual prizes including a set of 12 Titleist DT TrueSoft balls.

The event raised the generous sum of £1,157 for the Charity, which shall contribute towards continuing important research into treating and researching PSP.
