The FLTA is on the lookout for its next Safety Champion and, thanks to support from Sponsor Briggs Equipment UK, its winner will walk away with the title, a trophy and a £250 prize.

2016 winners presented at IMHX.

Now in its third year, the Award recognises and rewards individuals committing to make sites safer for their colleagues and visitors.

FLTA Chief Executive Peter Harvey MBE explains: “These men and women often wear many hats in their day-to-day job. Indeed, fork lift operations is sometimes not even directly part of their job function.

“Yet, something clicks in them. Perhaps it was seeing a near miss or maybe reading about an accident. Regardless of what drives them, they have a vision of how things should be… and the dedication to make it happen.

“This Award is unique in that it recognises the individual driving positive change – rather than the company… although we do have an Award for that, too!”

The winner, who will be announced in November, will be presented with a cheque for £250, courtesy of Briggs Equipment UK. So, whether it was you who turned a site around or someone you know, the FLTA want to hear from you.

But, be quick. Entries must be in no later than 30th September 2017.
