Toyota Material Handling is a winner of this year’s iF design award, a world-renowned design prize. The BT Reflex O-Series, a reach truck for both indoor and outdoor use, won in the vehicles product category.

The model won over the 58- member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, with its unique glass roof, exceptionally clean mast and overall quality of design down to the smallest details. The competition was fierce: over 5,500 entries were submitted from 59 countries in hopes of receiving the iF seal of quality.

The BT Reflex O-series has recently been launched together with the class-leading BT Reflex R/E-series, which has the same design features and quality. The BT Reflex first received an iF Design Award in 1982 under the model name 1350E. Since then, Toyota Material Handling has won more than 40 awards over the years.

“This is a genuine symbol of our hard work, kaizen process and creativity at Toyota. Again we are honoured with an international design award that reaffirms our design quality. This achievement was entirely completed thanks to our great teamwork” says Magnus Oliveira Andersson, Head of Design at Toyota Material Handling Europe.

The iF DESIGN AWARD is organised every year by Germany’s oldest independent design organisation, the Hanover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH. All awarded entries will be displayed at the iF design exhibition in Hamburg.
