WLN – What’s the most exciting thing about your job?
My role takes me to loads of different and exciting places, meeting various people from all different walks of life. There is never a dull moment.
WLN – Who’s inspired you most in your career?
Zig Ziglar, his life story is really inspiring, built on strong work ethics, a keen eye to seeing an opportunity and working with a smile on his face.
WLN – If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
Oh, that’s an easy answer, of course it would have to be a warehouse light, providing the workforce with a safe working environment (with no glare).
WLN – If you had your career all over again, what would you do different?
It took me a while to find my calling in my career, I think if I’d have been doing what I do now younger, I would have given myself more time to be successful.
WLN – What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you at work?
I worked at the same company as my Dad for a while so getting told off by him in front of my fellow employees for little things, like leaving a light on at home, was always embarrassing. I guess he was right in the end.
WLN – Who or what makes you laugh?
I am a big fan of Only Fools and Horses, especially Del Boy. His lack of common sense always makes me laugh.
WLN – Do you have any hidden talents?
I know it’s very sad but I have always been really good at origami.
WLN – Who would be your favourite party guest?
It would have to be someone who could light the room up with their personality; it has to be Robin Williams.
WLN – What is the greatest luxury in your life?
My Daughter Skye. Being a Dad is the greatest feeling in the world and we have a lot of fun together. No money could buy that.
WLN – What is your favourite guilty pleasure?
I am a massive music fan, especially indie/rock. I have a soft spot for a band that sing about a crush on a school teacher, a future year where they lived underwater and Thunderbirds is a guilty pleasure too shameful to name…
WLN – Do you have any secret ambitions?
I think to learn how to play the guitar and start my own rock band. I think I am getting too old to start with that though and Lumilow would miss me during my world tour.
WLN – What’s your dream holiday destination?
I have always wanted to go to Brazil, being a big football fan. The history and culture looks amazing. I think I will get there eventually.
WLN – What are your three favourite movies of all time?
Inception, Indiana Jones – Temple of Doom and Star Wars – Return of the Jedi.
WLN – What is your favourite book of all time?
Donnie Brasco, I am not a big reader but this book left me gripped the entire way through. A true story and a must read.
WLN – What’s your favourite pastime?
Playing and watching football at any possible opportunity, much to my partner’s annoyance.
WLN – If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
I would take all my friends and family on a luxury holiday.
