Registration is open for the UK and Ireland’s leading logistics show in Birmingham, UK in April. A series of briefings exploring the challenges and opportunities of the new business landscape post Brexit will be part of the three-day Multimodal show from 4th to 6th of April 2017.

Online registration is open for the free-to-attend show, which this year will include a series of Brexit Briefings, led by experts from companies including Eurotunnel, Oracle, and KPIT, as well as Agency Sector Management Ltd (ASM), at the Birmingham NEC.

The sessions are part of a series of seminars and workshops giving insight into how to run a slicker supply chain at the UK and Ireland’s leading logistics show, which last year attracted over 9000 supply chain decision makers. The sessions will look at emerging trends, as well as the impact of new regulations, and include workshops on improving air cargo quality, mega vessels and alliances, inland waterways, and rail freight.

“Multimodal takes place just weeks after Article 50 is invoked, triggering developments which will have a huge impact on all sectors of our industry,” said Robert Jervis, Logistics Portfolio Director, Clarion Events.

“We will provide a unique platform for industry leaders to share insight and knowledge, and learn new ways to run slicker supply chains at this critical time of change.”

Multimodal has once more teamed up with the Freight Transport Association (FTA), the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) to put together the educational programme.

Last year was the largest Multimodal show yet, with over 9,000 supply chain executives visiting over 325 exhibitors at the three-day event at the Birmingham NEC.

Speakers from companies including Heathrow Cargo, DB Schenker, and Transport for London are amongst the experts leading the debate.

Over 300 exhibitors from across the logistics industry will take part, including Kuehne + Nagel, Heathrow Cargo, Port of Dover, CMA CGM, UPS, Descartes, the British International Freight Association (BIFA), Associated British Ports (ABP), Canute Group, Dachser, and VIIA/SNCF Geodis.

The third Freight Transport Association (FTA) Multimodal Awards will also take place during the event, with over 600 VIPs expected to attend a gala dinner on 4th April at the VOX.

Online nominations are open for the Awards, which recognise best-in-class across air, road, rail, and maritime services, as well as a young logistics professional, an innovative infrastructure project, and environmental best practice.
