The Brecon-based company has continually widened its portfolio of solutions – which now includes a variety of pallet lifts; continuous platform elevators; multi-floor mezzanine solutions; paternosters; and single- and multi-carriage reciprocating hoists – since its formation in 1992 but this is the first time it has offered spiral conveyors.

One-stop-shop for vertical elevation

“We’re very excited about our new spiral conveyor range,” said Simon Musgrave, Sales Director, “as it means we are now a ‘one-stop-shop’ for vertical elevation needs. We had some very promising discussions about these new solutions with both existing and potential clients at the IMHX show recently. There is obviously demand for these highquality products in combination with our established expertise. Of course,” continued Simon Musgrave, “we’re here to give customers unbiased advice regarding the right solution for their precise application.”

Modular design

Capable of handling a variety of unit loads, the new Nerak spiral conveyors are the ideal solution where a continuous vertical elevation process is required. Applications include end-of-line operations, general warehousing and internet fulfilment. Food-grade versions are also available for food manufacturing environments.

Modular design enables the spiral solutions to be configured to suit the customer’s specific conveying needs. “This is particularly useful,” explained Simon Musgrave, “where the product needs to be turned through 90 degrees during elevation, avoiding the need for expensive cross transfer conveyors.”

Quiet operation

Nerak says that the new spiral products offer quiet operation, low maintenance requirements and a long life. Available in both 400mm and 600mm belt widths, the spiral elevators offer a capacity of up to 3,000 units per hour. “We have considerable design expertise inhouse,” added Simon Musgrave, “so we can tailor our standard solutions in order to solve diverse material handling problems. From initial layout, through the detailed design stages, to manufacture, assembly, installation and commissioning, our team keeps a keen focus on customer service,” he continued, “and close contact is maintained with clients throughout.”

Nerak Wiese provides its vertical elevation solutions to a wide range of industry sectors, with clients including end-users such as John Lewis, Amazon and XPO Logistics, as well as many system integrators such as Dematic, Vanderlande and Swisslog.
