In an industry that is increasingly using technology and utilising all social media available to them, the fact that Mini Clipper’s MD Peter Masters was tweeting pictures and praise to his followers, is demonstrative of logistics’ open mindedness and appreciation of social media in showcasing new products and projects.

Mini Clipper deliver integrated transport and warehousing solutions and are experiencing a surge in requests for their services due to the unprecedented demand for warehousing, particularly in the manic pre-Christmas build up.

The company’s success means that space was increasingly at a shortage at their site at Leighton Buzzard. With no capacity on site, and rather than take on a further facility, Mini Clipper looked at using a temporary buildings as an alternative.

Aganto Sales Manager Janos Szabo who oversaw the project says: “The site already had a large lorry park that wasn’t really used apart from storing empty pallets and a skip, so it made perfect sense for Peter and his team to use the building as an extra goods in/ consolidation and rework area with some bulk floor stacked pallet storage.”

He adds: “We were thrilled when Mini Clipper chose to go to Aganto for their insulated 20m x 40m x 5.2m structure- and even more delighted when Peter tweeted his satisfaction before the lads had even finished on site! The fact that the company were so publicly praising the site managers, and the whole team at Aganto really means a lot to us.”

Mini Clipper’s MD Peter Masters backs this up: “We chose a temporary building to avoid long term financial risk, to sweat the asset. The benefit to our business is huge; extra capacity, extra options, the ability to grow without the risk of taking on a facility.

“The price was keen, the quality excellent, and the people fantastic. We are extremely happy with the Aganto experience – so much so we couldn’t wait to show the pictures off and tell our own customers about the new pop up warehouse!” The Aganto temporary building was completed in October and is now fully operational.
