The leading specialist in industrial battery systems and the largest battery manufacturer in European ownership, Hoppecke has seen its sales soar throughout the year and has just finished a highly successful IMHX 2016 exhibition where it saw visitor numbers much higher than on previous occasions and genuine enquiries at a record high, especially for the company’s lead acid, fibre nickel cadmium (FNC), lithium-ion (LiOn) and explosionproof batteries. Hoppecke also received a huge number of enquiries relating to its chargers, its service contracts and its green energy solutions using renewable energy sources.

At the same time, the company has invested in a fleet of brand new service vans with contemporary livery that enhance the image of the company and ensure customers receive the best quality of service throughout the UK. This follows on the back of the recent announcement by Hoppecke that it has taken on two new regional service managers and strengthened its entire senior management team. The company has also introduced an improved five-year warranty service for all its motive power customers and signed long-term service agreements with such major rail companies as Bombardier, Siemens and Alstom.

On the personnel front, Jason Howlett, already Managing Director of Hoppecke UK and Ireland, has been given the position of Regional Managing Director of Western & Northern Europe while Lynne Morris has been appointed as Hoppecke UK’s new Human Resources Manager. Lynne brings with her significant experience of working at very senior levels in a number of organisations, with particular skills in organisational development and transformational management.

Says Jason Howlett: “This year has been an incredibly exciting time for Hoppecke and the team has worked wonders in expanding our markets and improving the level of service we deliver to existing customers. I am also delighted that I will now be able to play a central role in transforming the wider northern/western European business and building an even greater future for our company.”
